The Literary Club of DAV University, Jalandhar, celebrated International Mother Language Day (21st Feb.) on 23rd Feb. 2021. The students from different states of India enthusiastically participated in the celebrations; they recited poems, shared their personal experiences and views, and delivered speeches to highlight the importance of their respective mother tongues in their lives. The participants hailed all those heroes who put in efforts to popularize their mother tongues; they also paid tribute to the Bangla activists of 1952 and the Punjabi Suba Movement activists.
Dr. R. K. Seth, Dean (Academics), was the chief guest at this event. He was welcomed by Dr. Nakul Kundra, Teacher Coordinator, Literary Club. Dr. Seth shed light upon the significance of understanding diverse cultures and languages for the welfare of humankind.
