Thirty young girls were shortlisted for the final event of Miss Punjab 2019 at an event organised at DAV University. These participants were shortlisted at the semi-final organised by The Manager Network.
The chief guest at the semi-final event was Mr. Yashpal Singh Jadon, Project Director, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Jalandhar. He was accompanied by his wife Ms. Mamta.
The chief guest was welcomed by Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW) Dr Jasbir Rishi, Estate Officer Mr Gautam Bhalla, Director Sports Dr Yeshbeer Singh and assistant professor Mr Ranjodh Singh. The Vice-chancellor Dr. Deshbandhu Gupta and Executive Director Sh. Rajan Gupta also conveyed their best wishes to the students.
Highlights of the event included singer Naveed Akhtar’s guest appearance.
Mr. Mubarak Sandhu, member organizing committee informed that total online registration for this year for Miss Punjab was around 600 across the state. Another member of the committee, Mr. Mohit Sharma said the aspirants were in the age group of 16 to 29 years had enrolled for the competition.
Hollywood actress and model Rabia Cheema, Miss Punjab 2017 and Top Model Worldwide 2019 Rhythm Randhawa, owner of Priya Success Academy Priya Kaur, Proprietor of The Diet Expert Simrat Kathuriya were the judges of the event.
A budding RJ and student of Journalism and Mass Communication Raghav and Jagjit Kaur, a student at the University, handled the stage. Managing Director, Headmasters Mr. Sukhi Gill and Proprietor, Rich Cat Navi Sandhar were the special guests on the occasion.
