DAV University hold workshop on assessment and accreditation in higher education
Eminent educationist Prof RC Sobti emphasized on increasing the quality of education and making education profitable for the society. Dr. Sobti, who was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to education was speaking at the Faculty Development Program conducted by DAV University on the importance of assessment and accreditation in higher education. The program was organized by the University's Internal Quality Assessment Cell.

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, DAV University is organizing its first ever Film Festival from November 18-20, 2019. This event will be attended by many renowned personalities from the field of film making and acting. The students attending all three days during this event will be presented with certificates duly signed by former FTII Director Sh. Tripurari Sharan, our overall coordinator Anwar Jamaal (renowned Documentary Filmmaker), Punjabi Director Gurwinder Singh and Vice Chancellor, DAV University.

Agro Club and the NSS Unit of DAV University jointly organized a rally against the stubble burning. The participants marched to Sangwal village through Kishangarh from the University displaying placards and banners against straw burning.

Thirty-two final year students pursuing B Tech and Business Management courses at DAV University have got placement offers from reputed corporate giants. The highest package offered to management students is Rs 10 lakh while the highest remuneration offered for the engineering stream is Rs 6 lakh per annum.
167 students given badges at DAV University
DAV University on Tuesday formed Students’ Council and Cultural Council and presented badges to their members. The badges were presented to them by the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Desh Bandhu Gupta, Registrar Dr Sushma Arya and Dean Students’ Welfare Dr Jasbir Rishi at a ceremony organized on the campus.

Jaismeen and Nishpaksh were declared Miss and Mister Spectrum at the annual talent hunt show Spectrum at DAV University while a large number exhibited their talent. Dr. Rahul Kumar (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Ashutosh Sharma (Co- PI), Assistant Professors in Department of Agricultural sciences have been granted a research project entitiled “Insight into salt stress tolerance mechanism of poor man’s pulse horsegram [Macrotyloma uniflorum (Lam.) Verdc.] using biochemical and molecular approaches” funded by CSIR-HRDG, New Delhi.

DAV University holds workshop on anti-plagiarism software
DAV University organized an online workshop on using Turnitin – a software used to detect plagiarism in research. Mr Varun Piplani, training manager, Turnitin organized the online interactive session on the working of the software and apprised the members of the faculty how plagiarism could ruin the efforts of research.
